Georgian (1710- 1837)

Georgian jewelry represents one of the most handcrafted periods in jewelry history. Each piece was made entirely by hand, long before industrial production transformed the trade. Diamonds and colored gemstones were often set in silver over gold, enhancing their brilliance under candlelight.

Foil-backed stones were commonly used to intensify color and sparkle, a technique unique to the period. Designs frequently incorporated nature-inspired motifs—flowers, bows, and crescents—reflecting the romantic aesthetics of the 18th century.

Because Georgian jewelry was delicate and often redesigned in later eras, surviving examples today are rare and highly prized by collectors.
